Cohanim Architecture was instructed to advise on and prepare a Section 73 application for a new-build dwelling in Mill Hill, Barnet, following a dispute over the implementation of an existing planning permission.
The practice represented the client's position, first in response to enforcement action from the Local Planning Authority and subsequently when the matter was escalated toward a threatened legal adjudication. Through the Section 73 process, Cohanim Architecture secured consent for a dormer window, enabling the addition of a third habitable floor to the dwelling.
The outcome increased both the Gross Development Value of the scheme and the amount of livable amenity space within the property, resolving the enforcement dispute in the client's favour.
